Scot Masker, Branch Chairman

Editorial: Hampshire Branch is Thriving
1 January 2006, Scot Masker, Branch Chairman

The Hampshire Branch is thriving and I would like to remind members of some of those we can thank for making this success possible, David Ashe, previous past chair; Robin Haddow, recent past chair; Mike Cook, current treasurer (past secretary); Chris Honey, current secretary and Norman and Anne Roberts.

The New Year is full of events and new opportunities for the profession. The Winchester Lecture series has been confirmed and the list of speakers is posted below in Events. Hopefully many people will be attending these, the speakers are giving their time freely to present to you all so please do make time to come along.

The Branch and Portsmouth University Architecture Department have made considerable effort to liaise more closely. Pam Cole is sitting on the committee along with student representatives. We continue to support the University through the Student Awards as well as through the donation of professional time to support programmes and events.

We also have representation on the Constructing Excellence Hampshire Committee where we can add the profession’s voice to the building industry agenda and where a range of CPD and networking events take place.

I look forward to hearing from more of you this year and to the continued success of the Branch.

Thank you.
